Nicaraguan coffee beans are grown at high elevations, which allows the beans to develop a bright acidity and crispness in their flavor. They also have a rich and full-bodied taste, with notes of chocolate and caramel, that linger pleasantly in the mouth.
Los Pinos is a group of family farms located in Aranjuez, Matagalpa. Run by Byron Corrales, a man with a true passion for coffee and sustainability and a renowned personality in the coffee community. The farms are combined with areas planted in forest to improve water retention and have various other mixed croppings. They have a full water management system and nutrient and composting system that combines coffee waste and farm-based manure and mico-nutrients.
