Your products are certified organic, but are they GMO-free?
Yes! All of our products are GMO-free, per Canadian Organic Regime standards for organic certification.
Are your products fair trade?
Yes! All of our products are made with fair trade ingredients, and our chocolate products are made with direct trade cacao (butter, powder, and mass, aka the three components of the cacao bean). We buy our cacao directly from farmers in the Dominican Republic at prices they have set for themselves.
What about gluten free?
We don't use any ingredients that contain gluten at our facility but because we don't test for the presence of gluten in our products, we can't guarantee that our products haven't come into contact with gluten at our suppliers' facilities.
Do you use nuts or other allergens in your facility?
We use hazelnuts in our Westcoaster chocolate bar. We use mustard seeds and sesame seeds in some of our spice rubs. We don't use any products containing dairy, soy, gluten, or eggs. All of our products are vegan.
How do I use the soda syrups?
We recommend 1 to 2 tablespoons of soda per one cup of carbonated water but you might like more or less syrup per cup. It's super fun to play with the recipes and we recommend doing so! We also love making cocktails with our soda syrups! Often you just need your favourite spirit, a tablespoon of syrup and some sparkling water.
My soda syrup lid is very tight. What's the trick to loosening it?
Sometimes the soda syrup gets under the lid in the bottling process and the sugar can dry there, making the lid stick. Run the neck of the bottle under hot water for a minute and it should loosen up. Have a cap issue? Shoot us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some of your packaging is made of plastic or contains plastic. Is it BPA-free?
Yes! Always. All plastics that we use are PET food-grade polymers (PET plastics are BPA-free and plasticizer free).
Something is out of stock on the website, but I really want it. What can I do?
Email us at email@example.com and we'll either give you a timeline of when it will be back in stock or we might even be able to get you that product (we update the website daily, but sometimes we miss things). Often it's just a matter of us making another batch.
I've got a broken or defective product. What options do I have?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get back to you ASAP (usually within one business day). We do our best to accommodate shipping issues and product defects. We want you to be satisfied with every purchase you make with organicfair and we stand by the quality of our products.
