This Colombian organic coffee is sourced from Asoprocafees, a producer association that is committed to organic and fair trade standards. This region remained an untapped source of specialty coffee for many years due to armed conflict and coca leaf production. Now, locally organized associations like Asoprocafees have taken the lead in creating market access for producers.

The cooperative invests in basic infrastructure needs, social programs, and environmental training programs, among other initiatives, to improve the quality of life for coffee producers and their families. Producers carefully harvest and sort cherries before de-pulping, fermenting, washing, and drying the coffee using their own micro-mills. Traceability and quality control throughout the post-harvest process is ensured and results in coffee of exceptional quality.
